The charming hotel in the countryside close to Florence in Tuscany, Villa le Barone, is surrounded by many gardens:  Italian gardens with boxwood hedges, rose gardens, orchards…

Quickly park your car at the parking (even from there you have a splendid view of the Tuscan countryside) and discover all the gardens Villa le Barone is so proud of. A historic Villa in Tuscany cannot be conceived without gardens. First of all, discover the boxwood bordered garden of hearts next to a terrace from which you can admire the village of Panzano in Chianti. So charming! Then, go quickly for a good swim in the pool in the midst of a beautiful garden with a trimmed lawn and rose flowerbeds. This garden is bordered on one side by cypresses and on the other by a hedge behind which you can admire the Romanesque church San Leolino and discover another breathtaking view on the Chianti hills.

Relaxing in Villa le Barone, a charming hotel in Tuscany countryside near Florence

Continue your walk and get behind the pool in the field planted with olive trees and rose bushes where you can relax on a sun lounger and immerse yourself in the quiet countryside. There, you will certainly understand why so many travelers have spoken of the charm of the Tuscan countryside. Continue going down in the meadow and, behind another hedge of arbutus, barberry, laurels, on your right, you will see a new garden… and another rose flowerbed where Amira and Giulia come to take the roses for bouquets to decorate your room or for the restaurant. It is from here that our “fitness trail” starts, with 15 different equipments for your workout, unless you want to go jogging! A little further you will discover an orchard with apricot, loquat, plum, walnut, hazelnut, jujube, persimmon… Now head to the left of the pathway. You can either follow the path lined with fruit trees (if the fruits are ripe, please help yourself!), or go to the lagestromie and fig terrace. You will now arrive near the tennis. Go up towards the terrace of the restaurant and to the Villa. In the various Villa’s lounges, if you wish, you will find many books on gardens and in particular on the great Italian historical gardens. It is indeed in Tuscany that André Lenôtre, the famous garden architect of King Louis XIV’s at Versailles in France, took its inspiration.  But, if you prefer, just sit on the terrace, under the centennial horse chestnuts, get a glass of Chianti Classico and let yourself be taken in by the magical atmosphere of Villa le Barone. Come and rejuvenate yourself in this charming hotel near Florence in Tuscany’s countryside!
