A hotel with an infinity pool in Tuscany, an infinity pool in travertine marble, heated and salted, a pool (in fact 2 pools!) with breathtaking views, in the middle of a garden, with roses and olive trees.
Can you imagine yourself under the Tuscan sun, on a top of a hill, swimming in a large infinity pool in travertine marble, a stone used since the ancient roman times. It has been used, in particular, in the 17th century by Bernini to build the Colonnade of St Peter square in Rome, and also by Michaelangelo for the external ribs of the dome of ST Peter. The travertine marble that we used, color “noce” (walnut), come from the Rapolano quarries.
It is a pool sanitized using a salt chlorination system, which presents many advantages, and in particular makes the pool’s water feel smooth and silky to the touch.
It is a heated pool, with a heat pomp using the heat from the earth. A sustainable technique that will allow our guests to use the pool during the whole season, including the chillier months such as April, May, and October.
It is a pool in the middle of a garden, with roses, olive trees, rosemary and other Mediterranean plants, where guests can rest on comfortable deck chairs and choose a nook which will suit them.
It is a pool with breathtaking 250° views on the Tuscan hills in Chianti, on the vineyards, on the San Leolino Romanesque church.
And in fact there are 2 pools! Under the large one, guests will find a smaller one, with a travertine bench where they can sit, and pushing a button a cascade will fall on their shoulders to massage them!
