Watercolour, painting and drawing in Chianti, in the charm luxury hotel Villa le Barone

June 21, 2011  |  Hotel

Two drawing, painting and watercolor courses were held during the last weeks in the charm luxury hotel Villa Barone, in Chianti. Participants, whether beginners or experienced, have fallen under the spell of Tuscany, Chianti and Villa Le Barone, an historic manor that belonged to the Della Robbia family, the famous Renaissance sculptors, and still owned by their heirs. Participants in the workshop were captivated by the atmosphere of this authentic historic hotel, Villa le Barone, close to the renowned art cities, Florence, Siena, but also to small medieval villages such as Radda in Chianti and Castellina in Chianti. They were inspired by the landscapes around Villa le Barone, by the colors of the spring, by the roses just in bloom! Course participants and their spouses were able to use the swimming pool, the tennis, or the fitness room and fitness trail that one finds at hotel Villa le Barone.

Participants were also able, during the one day excursion, to explore the artistic treasures of Siena. This watercolor and painting course was organized by Jean Francois Grillard, professor, at Neuilly sur Seine, France, He taught participants how to master drawing, watercolor, gouache and oil, and they  were proud of the works  they were able to take back home. The encountered success led Jean François Grillard  to organize this fall, again at Villa le Barone another  watercolor and painting course, from 17 to 23 October 2011. This is grape harvesting season, and autumn colors are at their peak! The facade of Villa Barone then blazes with its ivy that turns purple, the leaves of trees and vines all around take shades of red, yellow, orange and brown… and it will also be the time of wooden fires in Villa le Barone‘s fireplaces. Gastronomy will not be forgotten during this stay dedicated to art, and participants will enjoy traditional Tuscan cuisine with season’s local fresh vegetables and fruits, such as figs, late peaches and grape; Of course these meals will be accompanied by renowned wines of Chianti!

Let yourself be seduced by the colors and the charm of nature in September and autumn in Chianti. Take advantage of the authentic luxury Hotel Villa le Barone’s special offers, and write to info@villalebarone.com if you wish to receive more information.
