Cycling fans, be they amateurs, experts or professionals, be they road cyclists, bikers or mountain cyclists, will love Tuscany and Chianti. Located between the provinces of Florence and Siena, the Chianti Region has always been considered the heart of Tuscany. An eventful history and a winemaking tradition that dates back to the thirteenth century have made this gorgeous area an ideal place for unusual biking or cycling journeys through vineyards, hills and small typical villages.

Road cycling is very popular in Tuscany, a hilly territory: the roads are often winding and steep, which gives one the occasion to stop, admire the wonderful landscape, take a picture, or visit one of the small hamlets along the road. It is also wonderful, after a climb, to engage in a magnificent slope… Also, nowadays, electric bikes can be of significant help! There are plenty of road cycling possibilities around Villa le Barone close to Greve in Chianti and we have prepared itineraries for our cycling guests. We can also rent for them nice bikes of different types that will be delivered at the hotel.
