Every year, for the last16 years, the Community of San Leolino, a community of priests and laymen, organizes seminars relating faith and contemporary culture. The events combine spirituality, art, poetry, music. The beauty of the Chianti landscape and that of the San Leolino hamlet, which you can admire from Villa le Barone, is certainly an appeal to contemplation.
The Romanesque church itself, with its adjacent 14th century cloister and the beauty of the Concerts in Chianti nearby Hotel Villa le Barone are an invitation to meditation! Villa le Barone is sponsoring this year a piano recital (Schubert, Bach, Beethoven), to be held on Sunday, May 17 and other events are planned throughout the summer (download the program).
Equally wonderful are the concerts of the “Linari Classic Music Festival” that take place during the month of July in beautiful parts of Chianti, often exceptionally open to the public. Young and talented artists from all over the world come to perform there. In the charming Church of Lamole in Greve in Chianti, also next to the Hotel Villa le Barone, many concerts are also given.
